【Registration for the 6th FCU Chinese Speech and Singing Contest】

We hope to provide opportunities for international students to showcase their language achievements through speeches or singing. Don't worry about the vocabulary and pronunciation, just speak bravely, then you have the opportunity to win the prize!

26 winners will be chosen with a total prize of 120,000 NTD!!
In the first round on 4/25 (Fri), you only need to prepare for 2 minutes, and you will have a chance to enter the final round and win the prize.

1. The contest will be divided into two categories: Speech Contest and Singing Contest. Each participant can only register for one category, double registration is not allowed. Each group may consist of either one or two participants. If there are two people in a group, each member has to speak. Cross-department groups and cross-year groups are accepted. A total of 10 groups from the speech contest and the singing contest will be selected to enter the final round.

2. Rules and methods for Speech contest and Singing contest
◆Speech Topic: 印象深刻的一句話 A sentence that left a deep impression
You may say this sentence in Chinese or in your own language, but during the speech you should translate its meaning into Chinese.  
◆Song Selection: You can choose the song you like, and the lyrics of the song should contain more than 80% Chinese.

3. Awards
(1) First Prize：12,000 NTD. One winner in each of the Speech Contest and the Singing Contest.  
(2) Second Prize：10,000 NTD. One winner in each of the Speech Contest and the Singing Contest.  
(3) Third Prize：8,000 NTD. One winner in each of the Speech Contest and the Singing Contest.  
(4) Fourth Prize：5,000 NTD. Three winners in each of the Speech Contest and the Singing Contest.  
(5) Five Prize：3,000 NTD. Four winners in each of the Speech Contest and the Singing Contest.  
(6) Additional Bonus for the First Round: NTD 1,000 as the prize for the potential winner. Depending on the decision made by the judges, each of the Speech Contest and the Singing Contest may have up to three winners.

4. Participants：All international students at FCU who do not speak Chinese as their native or first language are eligible to sign up for the contest. Students from Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, and Mainland China are not eligible to participate.
* Participants who won first prize in either the speech or singing category in the previous (5th) contest are not allowed to register for the same category again.
