Department of Fiber and Composite Materials transfer to Department of Materials Science and Engineering Advanced Placement Courses for Senior Years
Although the four years of university life are so rich, I still want to advance in the professional field, and I also found that the field I want to specialize in is biased towards the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, so I first took the graduate course of the Department of Materials Science and Engineering when I was in my senior year; the interlacing is like a mountain , when preparing to apply for the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering, I spent a lot of time studying materials professional materials, and finally successfully applied to the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering.
Like a sponge, absorb knowledge with all your might
"Children run without umbrellas" is the best portrayal of my freshman life. Doing experiments, leading undergraduate students, handling bills for the Ministry of Science and Technology, ordering experimental consumables, purchasing experimental equipment, etc., are extremely busy, but it is worthwhile to devote yourself wholeheartedly to your favorite "photocatalyst research field".
Choosing a laboratory that suits you is like looking for a job. You first know the field you want to study, and then evaluate whether the laboratory is suitable for you. Because the interdisciplinary department spent a lot of effort in finding a supervisor, and finally successfully admitted to the "Functional Oxide Laboratory" . In order to try my best to keep up with other postgraduate students, I actively learned the knowledge of photocatalyst field, experimental equipment, and familiarized with the experimental process. Like a sponge, I tried my best to absorb new knowledge, and my ability to handle things has also greatly improved.
With the experimental data accumulated through my usual hard work, and the experience of speaking in English for the final report of the human-centered design course of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University-Hong Kong Polytechnic University, I represented the Functional Oxide Laboratory to participate in Recent Progress in the second year of my master’s degree. Materials Science and Engineering Seminar, and study with graduate students from Jilin University and Hanyang University. Without this academic exchange, I might think that two years of master's experience is enough to achieve the goal of employment after graduation. However, graduate students from other schools gave me a big blow. Their experiments were difficult, but they were able to present the research results with clear sentences and easy-to-understand images. This academic exchange inspired me not only to modify the experimental parameters , also broke the established thinking framework.
Treating as the soil that absorbs nutrients hard, every bit of accumulation makes me stronger, and the longer the branches, the stronger I will be than others.
