Be active, dedicate yourself, and enjoy the busy life of university!
Who said that if the grades are mediocre, there is no chance!
Actively participating in community activities can also become one in a million!
When I entered the campus ignorantly in my freshman year, I met many clubs and was deeply impressed by the newly established iOS Club. When I signed the iOS Club admission form, I thought that I must actively participate in the activities of the club in the future. Before I joined the club, I thought that the iOS Club should be a club that focused on learning app development. After joining, I realized that it was not just about learning app development. We will also hold programming teaching for Wagner Senior High School, summer camps for junior high school students, and participate in domestic and foreign competitions and workshops.
From app planning, actual development, curriculum planning, and finally actual teaching, these experiences have taken my abilities to the next level. Due to his active participation in community activities, he was lucky enough to be selected as a reserve cadre during his sophomore year. During the summer vacation, he represented the school to Xiamen University to participate in the Greater China iOS Club summer camp organized by Apple, and exchanged views with iOS Club members from various countries.
Completing one thing together is more fulfilling than individual honors.
From the publicity of the club all the way to the vice president, I think that if you want to participate, don't be afraid and participate bravely. It is impossible for everyone to do what they want, but participation is already accumulating their own combat power, whether it is interpersonal or ability, the gains in the process may be more than you imagined.
When I first became a cadre, I was not familiar with everything. I printed the wrong event date on 300 leaflets. All the cadres accompanied me and posted the correct time one by one. I'm sorry, but it's bittersweet to recall now, and I like the sense of mission that everyone works together for a goal.
Don't be afraid to make mistakes, sometimes these memories become an important part of who we are.
Pay a little more than others, and you may get unexpected gains.
In a certain club class in freshman year, I heard that my senior sister was recruiting the programming teaching team of Wiger High School, so I signed up without knowing where it came from. If it weren’t for the drive I had then, I wouldn’t be riding my 30-minute ride to Wiger High School every day, and I wouldn’t have the experiences I’ve had since. When I joined the teaching team, I just started majoring in freshman programming. Although I was afraid that I would not be able to help much because of my lack of ability, I found that it was not as difficult as I imagined after teaching a few times. As a high school student, the first class of the day , It is very important to inspire enthusiasm for learning. After two years, my expression ability has improved a lot, and I can freely switch the way of speaking, so that high school students can understand the logic of the program.
Setbacks are not a reason to be discouraged, they can become a driving force to move forward again.
Experience and ability can be accumulated. If you don’t get it now, it doesn’t mean you won’t have a chance in the future. If you don’t succeed once, you can try again; I believe that you will improve each time. As long as you work hard, you will definitely win. one day.
The competition is not only about winning or losing, but also a good time to observe other people's ideas and works. What you learn from others may be a greater inspiration to yourself. Qualifying for the finals in Greater China can broaden your horizons and understand the differences in ideas of peers growing up in different countries and environments. Learning from others is a more precious opportunity than winning an award.
Grab the opportunity when it comes!
Most of the university courses are for basic theoretical courses. When we have the opportunity to design an APP from the beginning to the end, we are afraid that we will not be able to complete the project, but also very excited to put the theory into practice. Let my friends and I decide to take on the project and give ourselves a challenge.
Don't think too much, just go for it! Compared with giving up before starting, it is more meaningful to continue bravely even if you fail.
I would like to say to the juniors: "If the opportunity comes, just let it go! We never know what kind of difficulties we will encounter in the future, but since the difficulties come, we should face them and solve them. In the process , We will acquire all kinds of experience invisibly, and when you come back to your senses, you will find that the accumulation of experience makes future goals clearer.”
